I am pleased to announce that uillean piper Tom Rota and I will be performing two concerts in the midcoast region this Wednesday and Friday. These will be traditional, unaccompanied pipes-and-fiddle duets, with both D and C uillean pipes and several different fiddle tunings. Weird and wonderful.

July 22: The Brown Church, Round Pond, Maine. Located in one of Maine’s prettiest harbor towns, the Brown Church is a historic 19th century church with outstanding acoustics. Concert begins at 7pm; admission by suggested $12 donation.

July 24: Rock City Books and Coffee, Rockland, Maine. One of the coolest music venues east of Portland, Rock City (formerly the Second Read) also has a great selection of coffee (which they roast themselves) and food, as well as a fantastic collection of used books. Concert begins at 7:30; admission by pass-the-hat donation. More info from the website.
